Supplied new to Jacques Swaters' Ecurie National Belge as the 10th of 19 500 TRCs constructed, the car immediately embarked on a extensive racing career throughout Europe, respondant in Ecurie National Belges' colours of yellow and black. Piloted by the likes of Alain de Changy, Lucien Bianchi, and Willy Mairesse amongst others, the highlight of its racing career was undoubtibly at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1957, where it placed 7th overall and 2nd in class.
Acquired by David Cottingham in the late 1970s, the car was fully restored by DK Engineering to its original specifications and completed in 1990. Restored with historic racing in mind, the car has been campaigned throughout Europe and North America in well over 150 historic racing events, in addition to numerous concours events at well. A frequent sight at historic racing events in the U.K., as DK Engineering enjoys its 45th anniversary in 2022, it will no doubt be racing frequently this year and beyond.
