A record number of your fellow historic motor racing enthusiasts flocked to 2008’s Goodwood Revival to join in the celebrations for the 60th anniversary since the opening of the legendary Goodwood motor circuit, plus the tenth anniversary of the Goodwood Revival meeting itself.
The Goodwood Revival is now by far the largest historic motor sport event in the world and has established itself over the past decade as a ‘must attend’ event. The vast majority of the 124,000 spectators came dressed in their finest 1950s and 1960s fashions, with tweed jackets and pleated skirts abounding in the beautiful early autumn sunshine.
DK Engineering ran 3 cars at this years event which included a Ferrari 212 Monoposto that competed in the Richmond and Gordon Trophy, this race was unfortunately cut short due to an accident involving Jochen Mass’s Lancia D50.
We also had a Ferrari 206SP Dino which competed well in the Madgewick cup driven by Nick Adams and lastly we also had a Ferrari 250 SWB chassis 2119GT (60 TT winner) which was invited into the Legends of Goodwood demonstrations throughout the weekend which was driven by Sir Stirling Moss on the Sunday. This car was fully restored by DK Engineering and is maintained by ourselves
