Another year, another wonderful Goodwood Revival!
DK were pleased to be invited along to what has become one of the greatest events for historic racing cars in the world, bringing together the finest and most interesting examples of 1930’s to late 1960’s racing vehicles for this period themed event. Colin Pearcy took part in the Fordwater Trophy in his DK prepped famous MGB, 222 WAE. This car was made famous for being works backed in the 60’s being run by Windmill & Lewis achieving many race wins across the UK.
James and Jeremy Cottingham took part in the one hour long two driver race, the Lavant Cup, sharing the Ferrari 500 TRC (chassis 0682 MDTR), this being the car that finished first in class at Le Mans in 1957.
David Cottingham took part in the Brooklands Trophy driving a 328 BMW that has just had a full restoration carried out by DK Engineering. This 328 is chassis 17 – the 6th car delivered and it is probably the earliest surviving car in Europe. It is remarkably original and this was its first public appearance in nearly 50 years!
DK also helped the event by loaning a 250 LM, a McLaren F1 GTR and a Porsche 959 (all cars available for sale) to the Earls court motor show.
