DK Engineering Showcase Day 2015

In the words of one of our guests on Saturday, "The DK Engineering Showcase Day is now on the list of my Top Ten car events in the UK". High Praise indeed for an event which started in 2010 as a small gathering to show clients and friends our (as they were then) brand new premises at Little Green Street Farm.

This year Saturday 28th March brought over 400 people to DK Engineering who were thankfully greeted with mainly dry weather and as a result we were fortunate to welcome a wonderful array of cars. It is always a delight to see again so many cars supplied or maintained by DK. This year a Porsche 918 gathered the crowds and a collection of 7 599 GTOs took some beating amongst almost 100 Ferraris brought by our guests.

For DK it is a pleasure to showcase a selection of our current sales cars and the various ongoing projects in the workshops, from large restorations to smaller more regular service work. This year we had on display 28 cars from the Sales department including the recently overhauled 288 GTO, a 275 GTB/4, 275 GTS, and no less than 3 F40s. Current restoration projects included a 250 GT California Spyder in bare metal, a 275 GTS and 365 GTC as painted shells and two 275 GTB/4s nearing completion. As ever the Rolling Road was running all day and our technicians were on hand to answer questions from many of our customers on their Ferraris.

A captivating speech from Anthony Reid, on some of his most entertaining motorsport experiences was naturally extremely well received. This year we were especially pleased to have supported and raised funds through a raffle for "FOPS", Friends of Prostate Sufferers. An extremely worth cause, DK are very proud to support this organisation which in turn helps so many sufferers of Prostate Cancer.
