DK Engineering at the Ascari GT1 Celebration

At the end of April, DK and clients gathered to be a part of the once-in-a-lifetime experience - the Ascari GT1 invitational in Malaga. As well as bringing our F40 GT 'Sponsor', we also prepped and supported the Porsche 911 GT1 that had previously been supplied by us, and that had subsequently undergone restoration in our own workshops.

Three days of on-track action ensued on the alluring Ascari circuit, which provided an ideal proving ground for the cars and driver's alike. Off-track, it was a pleasure as always to see old friends, united by the iconic and enduring GT1 racing class, and thier mythically rare and desirable homologation road car variants.

It was sensational to see so many GT1 'Unicorns' not just gathered together but used at pace at the fantastic Ascari resort facility. It was also great to see and drive some familiar cars like the 550 Prodrive, and the previously sold by DK, CLK GTR RHD Roadster, "TAG" Mclaren F1 and more. An unforgettable experience and class-leading event that highlighted how much of a golden period 90's GT1 was.
