Supercar Driver Secret Meet 2022

DK Engineering were proud to support Supercar Driver in celebrating 35 years of the Ferrari F40 at their Secret Meet 2022 held at Donington Park circuit. Bigger and better than all previous years, the event welcomed more than 500 members and over 35 Ferrari F40s, F50s, Enzos and Laferraris took to the track for the celebratory parade lap and photograph.

DK once more took a stand at the event, this time showing some of the lesser seen examples from our care, including the sole RHD Ferrari 288 GTO in Nero and RHD Ferrari F40 in Grigio Opaco. Both cars have been previously sold by DK on several occasions and generously loaned to us by the owner for the event. We also took along with us our F40 GT ‘Sponsor’ having been invited by the team to provide the pace car for the event. Taking the opportunity, we launched our Ferrari F40 ceramic brake upgrade with one set on display and the second set fitted to the GT pace car. The kit is designed to sit behind the standard wheel and retains the standard caliper, making for a totally reversible upgrade.

Also on our stand we brought with us an original F40 chassis, stripped back to its most basic form and refinished as original. Built up in time for the event, we placed in the recently rebuilt engine, a pair of seats and across the front axle our ceramic brakes; one behind an original wheel and one exposed. We had with us several sales cars too; our 12,800 mile C16 Porsche 911 GT2 RS, 458 Speciale with £85,000 of options and our currently available 425hp Porsche Ruf RCT EVO.

It was great to see our recently sold Maserati MC12 with its new owner too, and quite the spectacle seeing such a varied panoply of supercars on track.
