Partnering with Richard Cook and his 289 Cobra prepared by Pursuit, Harvey Stanley took to the track for Peter Auto’s Vallunga Classic this past weekend. Racing in the Sixties’ Endurance series across a forty-six car field, the pair qualified an impressive 7th place on Friday, with Harvey clocking the 8th fastest lap during qualifying.
Richard started off for the race with a great first stint, handing the Cobra over to Harvey for a chance to fight for the lead. With the skies opening up over Harvey’s first stint, he managed the car beautifully in the very wet conditions and managed to finish P2 behind the Cobra of Christophe Van Riet when the race was red flagged. This was an excellent result considering their qualifying performance, and even more so when considering the downpour!
Next weekend, the DK team will compete at the Goodwood Revival, with James and David Cottingham joining Harvey on the track, in addition to a former Formula One world champion getting behind the wheel of the Cobra from the DK Engineering Collection which will also be campaigned by Pursuit. At Goodwood, they will be competing in the following events:
This will surely be a very exciting Goodwood Revival for all those lucky enough to attend, and we look forward to seeing you this weekend.
