Sourced with the assistance of DK Engineering in 2018, this superb reference 2,500 kilometre 'cat, non-adjust' Ferrari F40 has found a home with a meticulous and fascinated 2nd owner. An original UK supplied example, it was sold immediately to Germany where it would remain with its first keeper until 2018. Stored in our secure storage facility, the car saw its first outing at the Ferrari Owners Club Concours 2019 where it secured an outright victory on the day as well as three other trophies. At that event, it lost not one mark, receiving the full 100 points on its scorecard.
The following year, DK once more proudly supported the owner at Salon Prive Concours D'Elegance. We prepared and delivered the car to the event where it took Class P 'Classics of the Future' overall victory and 'Naughty Nineties' Class runner up.
In the past couple of weeks, the car was presented at the 2021 Ferrari Owners Club Concours at Sywell Aerodrome, where once more it took 'Best in Show'. Just this week the car was proudly on show at the London Concours, accompanied by its complete accessories - toolkit, luggage, Classiche Certification, workshop manual, original books and history folio and even the elusive Cartier F40 watch. Commissioned to celebrate Enzo's final project, 140 (100 + '40') were produced and numbered as such. They were never sold commercially, instead gifted to close friends of the business.
'I am so proud to be the current owner of such a great example of the F40 and that it is getting the recognition it deserves. It would not be possible without you and your great team and the help you gave me to be able to purchase the car in the first place. I look forward to seeing you at Hampton Court where it will represent the Ferrari Owners Club in the club trophy' - Mr Grove. This example has most recently seen victory in the RAC Club Trophy at the Hampton Court Concours of Elegance.
To date since acquisition, this example has seen the following awards:
