The 365 GTC/4 was sold alongside Ferrari's Daytona for 18 months between 1971 and '72 - a Coupe rather than a Berlinetta as the designation would suggest. The GTC/4 arrived in March 1971 and was conceived as a more civilised version of the Daytona, offering additional luggage space and two small rear seats. Power steering was fitted as standard with hydraulic self-levelling ride height at the back and air conditioning. Cromodora alloy wheels were fitted as standard but Borrani wires were optionally available. The powerplant was similar to the V12 found in the Daytona. Displacement of both was 4390cc, however, the GTC/4 featured new heads, wet sump lubrication and six sidedraught Weber 38 DCOE carbs. Output of the European version was 340bhp at 7000rpm, while performance wasn't far behind the crushingly fast Daytona, sprinting from 0-60 in 6.1 seconds and a top speed of 163mph was possible.

As usual, the bodywork was designed by Pininfarina, but unlike the Daytona whose shells were made by Scaglietti in Modena, C/4 panels were fabricated by Pininfarina in Turin and shipped to Maranello for completion. Distinctive details were the matte black synthetic resin noseband that replaced traditional chrome bumpers at the front, matt black also being used for the rear bumper although this was a more conventional piece of painted steel. The cabin was completely new and featured an integrated dash and centre console that lent a very contemporary feel. It was more comfortable and refined than the Daytona.

This example 1 of approximately 40 RHD cars produced and was manufactured in 1972 being delivered new to Singapore in February 1973. Remarkably it remained in Singapore until early 1987 when it was subsequently purchased by the Hong Kong dealer Italian Motors Ltd. The car was immediately subjected to a comprehensive restoration during which time the colour was changed from Bianco to Blu Ribot Metallic over a Nero Hide interior. Shortly after completion, in late 1987, it was sold by Italian Motors to Dr Ross M Connell an Australian anaesthetist working in Hong Kong. Dr Connell later immigrated to the United Kingdom in 1995 and brought with him the GTC/4. Whilst in the UK Dr Connell sent the car to Nick Cartwright Specialist Cars to complete a mechanical re-commission to ensure the car was ready to be used on UK roads. For the remainder of his ownership the car was maintained with no expense spared via Nick Cartwright.

In December 1999 it was purchased by its current owner via dealer Nick Cartwright with circa 25,700 Miles showing. During his ownership the owner has covered under 8,000 Miles, and despite the low mileage covered it has been regularly maintained. Prior to its sale, in January 2018 DK Engineering carried out a major service as well as a full cosmetic detail.

Accompanied by its spare key and superb history including the original owner's manual, this GTC/4 is UK road registered and ready to be used and enjoyed immediately, located at our showrooms just outside London.
