Ferrari 250 PF Coupe

DK Engineering are delighted to offer for sale the #1977, an exceptional 250 PF Coupe.

This matching numbers Series II car is undoubtedly one of the most original and unmolested examples in xistence. Chassis 1977 was originally supplied to Silvio Gamberini of Bologna in 1960, the car was painted Grigio Fumo with a black interior, wooden steering wheel and passenger headrest, (exactly how the car is today) and was equipped with disc brakes, the outside plug engine configuration with two distributors and a four speed gearbox with overdrive. The car retains of all these components and has had, astonishingly, just five owners from new.

Gamberini sold the car to Dr George A Kellner who was in Europe on military service at the time and who then took the car back the USA, where it would remain until 2012. In 1973 Dr Kellner sold the car to another doctor, Dr John Bukovnik, at which point the car had 24,000 miles. Over the following 30 years in Bukovnik's ownership the car was kept in storage and up until his death and the subsequent sale of the car it only covered 170 miles! Greg Brendel took ownership of #1977 in 2002 and some significant mechanical work was carried out but the cosmetic appearance was well-preserved which led to a the car being a Class Silver Award Winner at the 2006 Cavallino Classic in Palm Beach, FL. Sold to the fifth and final owner in 2012, the car has covered not more than 45,000 kms since new. Recently the car was treated to a large ervice and overhaul which means that the car drives extremely well but maintains as much originality and patina as is possible.
