Bentley Continental T (1998)

In 1996, the Bentley Continental T came to market and was derived from the Bentley Continental R. It boasted a more athletic outward appearance, owing to its shorter wheelbase and wider wheel arches. This sharpened the performance and improved the all-round driving experience over and above the Continental R. Its 6.75-litre V8 engine sends power to the rear wheels for impressive performance.

Encouraged by its 420 bhp and 650 lb/ft 875 nm, the Continental could accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 5.8 seconds, leading to a top speed of 155 mph, effortlessly achieved as you would expect from a Bentley. The T also saw the introduction of a shorter chassis over the R, losing 4 inches in length from behind the rear doors.

This Continental T is 1 of just 104 RHD examples completed and was elegantly and desirably optioned in Silver Pearl metallic, supplied new by Reg Vardy Bentley in January 1998. The interior sees a Slate and Light Grey duotone leather interior with carpets (and lambswool overmats) in Granite.

The unmistakably elegant, driver-focused, dashboard features a polished burr walnut dashboard, a respectful hat-tip to Bentleys of the past. The Bentley's characterful cabin is quite the environment to spend time in, be it for a quick jaunt across town, or to cross continents; Continental cruising is what this vehicle is really made for. Furthermore, the walnut extends to the door cappings and door trim inserts.

Today this example presents with just 33,500 miles from new and has been used sparingly by its two most recent custodians, with just 5,500 miles covered since 2019.
