Porsche Cayenne Diesel (2016)

Few cars divided opinions like the Cayenne did at its launch in 2003. There were mixed feelings about Porsche entering the SUV market, especially with existing competition firmly in place from the likes of Range Rover and the BMW with the X5.

However, whilst the first generation offered somewhat awkward styling, it was a vehicle that offered the complete package. The safety, security and practicality of an off road vehicle, coupled with the power and road holding expected from a sports car, meant it wasn’t long before the Cayenne was a huge success.

The second generation was launched in 2011, presenting a much more elegant shape and despite being larger, extensive use of lightweight materials meant it offered a 250kg weight saving over its predecessor.
