Ferrari F430 Spider 2007 (2007)

The F430 took Ferrari's extraordinary achievements with aluminium technology that begun with the 360 Modena, to a whole new level; offering a series of extremely significant innovations, directly derived from the Ferrari Formula 1 single-seaters. Two features that had never before appeared on production cars were an electronic differential and a steering-wheel mounted switch which manages the integrated systems governing the vehicles dynamics. The 4.3 litre V8 engine produces 490hp (114hp per litre). This impressive performance means 0-60mph will take just 4 seconds and the car will carry on accelerating up to almost 200mph.

The F430 spider made its first public appearance at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show. The rear of the car is slightly altered from the coupe version; two paired roll bars and discreet pillars lead to the engine cover. The spider has an abundance of sophisticated electronic systems, including options to calibrate the suspension, speed of gear change, alter the e-diff and adjust the traction and stability control. This can all be done from the steering wheel via a selector. Maranello's engineers fettled the car so it weighs only 70kg more than the coupe, benefits from a stiffer chassis and crucially retains its torsional rigidity. The flat underbody and rear diffuser act to increase downforce, improving the handling capabilities of the F430. The absence of the hard top roof has no impact on the cars breathtaking performance and only increases the pleasure of the driving experience, as you are able to hear the V8 engine even more clearly.

This particular model is a rare manual RHD drive example, first registered in 2007 and presented in its delivery colour of Nero Daytona. It has an exquisite leather interior, finished with Daytona style seats and complimented by a Rosso rev counter and Rosso brake calipers. The last annual service was carried out in October 2014 and included a new oil filter and lubricants. With only 22,000 miles on the clock, the vehicle has been well maintained and as such, is in excellent working order and represents a fine example of the F430 spider.
