Between 1963 and 1970, Maserati built the Tipo AM109, better known as the Mistral, which was available as either a coupe, of which 828 examples were built, or a Spyder, of which a mere 125 were built.
This example was supplied new in the very same specification it presents in today, Nero (Salchi code 20B32) over pelle bianca Connolly leather (code PAC 1544). A five-speed gearbox, disc brakes and fuel injection were standard equipment, but an incredibly rare option was the factory hardtop, which this example benefits from and retains to this day.
The car was ordered new through Maserati Concession Ltd. of London and delivered in August of 1965. Just a few years after in the early 1970s, the car was taken over to Massachusetts, USA, where it would remain until 2016 where the car was brought back over to Europe.
Now in mainland Europe, the car was entrusted to various specialists in Italy for the restoration to bring the car as we see it today.
