Ferrari 599 GTB (2007)

The 599 GTB Fiorano was, until the launch of the F12, Ferraris two-seat flagship. It was the successor to the 575M Maranello which it replaced in 2006. The 599 is of course, a spiritual successor to the likes of the now legendary 250 GT, 275 GTB and Daytona. With an Enzo-derived 5999cc V12 shoehorned into an all-alloy chassis, the 620bhp GTB was Ferrari's most powerful V12 production car ever.

The 599, as with many previous Ferraris takes its name from its engine displacement of the V12, the "GTB" stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta and it was styled by Pininfarina under the direction of Ferrari's Frank Stephenson. The performance statistics of the 599 are still impressive today with a top speed in excess of 205 mph, 0-62 mph in 3.7 seconds, and 11.0 seconds to 124 mph.

This example was delivered new by Meridien Modena of Lyndhurst to its first owner, Mr Frazer of London on July 28th 2007. Supplied in the elegant and timeless Grigio Silverstone over Bordeaux, this example features the desirable Monolithic Challenge style wheels; behind which sit the optional, upgraded carbon-ceramic brakes. A tribute to the marques’ competition heritage, the brake callipers are finished in Giallo, a theme that continues inside the car to rev counter also finished in Giallo.

Inside the car sees a number of extended Bordeaux leather options, including a generous helping on the rear parcel shelf and headlining. Further options include iPod connectivity, front and rear parking sensors, satellite navigation and Bose hi-fi.

Accompanying this wonderful 599 GTB is the rarely seen ‘VIP’ (Vehicle Identification Passport) photographically documenting the build process of the car from chassis frame to completion.

The car has benefitted from meticulous servicing from new, with its supplying dealership for the first 4 years, a marque specialist for the following 3 years and with DK Engineering since the acquisition by the current owner in 2016. As such the low mileage of just 8,850 miles is fully supported and ensures this GTB wants for nothing.
