In late 2017 Aston Martin unveiled the final Ultimate iteration of the "Vanquish" which had become the halo model since 2001, when it was also the vehicle of choice for James Bond in "Die Another Day". Always powered by a naturally aspirated V12 the original vanquish was updated so "Vanquish S" in 2004 and finally in 2007 to mark the end of production just 50 Vanquish "Ultimate" editions were built. These "Ultimate Edition" cars have since become extremely sough after and change hands at almost twice the price of the "Standard" Vanquish.
In 2012 the second generation Vanquish was born, still crucially powered by a naturally aspirated 6 Litre V12 this new model took many styling cues from the Million pound One-77 hyper car. In 2013 the first Vanquish Volante was announced to great acclaim. The second generation Vanquish S was announced in 2017 and included the 8 Speed gearbox and a power output just a fraction under 600bhp. Making this the most powerful naturally aspirated V12 in the history of Aston Martin.
Fittingly to close Vanquish production in early 2018 Aston announced a second "Ultimate Series" this time limited to just 175 cars worldwide split across the Coupe and Volante bodystyles.
The Ultimate cars feature the same Drivetrain and chassis as the S, but with a host of new styling features including a new 5 Spoke wheel design. The cars were available only with 3 "Design Package" colour schemes; Black, White Gold and Xenon Grey. Options available were very limited as the standard specification was so high including three-stage adaptive dampers and carbon-ceramic brakes.
This Vanquish Ultimate Volante was built alongside an identical matching Volante and both cars were registered and delivered new to their first and only owner in March 2018. This car is presented in Xenon Grey with Obsidian Black Leather with Tan stitching and "Ultimate Quilting". It is equipped with Heated Electric Sports seats, and other options include Black calipers, Carbon Fibre accents in place of the standard Blue streaks, 2+2 Seating, Tracker and Umbrella.
The car is presented for sale today in as close to as new condition one could expect and is supplied with all keys, books and tools, Umbrella, Trickle charger and the personalised build book supplied by Aston Martin.
The car has covered just 178 miles from new. With less than 100 of each variant produced, these are rare motorcars indeed. The final model to carry the 6.0 Litre V12 - the engine which has meant so much to Aston Martin over the past two decades.
This virtually new pair of cars were built, delivered, registered and stored together and are now available for sale either as a pair or separately.
